My Happy Garden ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application ("the App") and website.

Information We Collect

My Happy Garden is designed with a privacy-first approach. We collect minimal data:

• Email address (waitlist only): If you sign up for our waitlist, we store your email address securely in our database solely to notify you when the app launches. We do not share this with third parties.
• Location data (approximate): Used solely to fetch local weather forecasts via Open-Meteo. Not stored on our servers.
• Plant data: All plant information is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.
• Plant photos: When using AI identification or pest diagnosis, your photos are sent to third-party services (PlantNet, Google Gemini) for processing. Photos are not stored on our servers.
• Anonymous analytics: We collect basic, anonymous usage statistics (device type, feature usage) to improve the app. No personal information is included.

Data Storage

My Happy Garden operates on a local-first architecture. Your plant data, care history, and preferences are stored on your device. We do not operate user accounts or cloud databases for the free tier.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo: Weather forecasts. Privacy policy.
• PlantNet: Plant identification from photos. Images are sent to PlantNet servers for identification only and are not stored. Privacy policy.
• Google Gemini: AI pest diagnosis. Plant photos are sent to Google's API for analysis only. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
• RevenueCat: Subscription management. Privacy policy.
• Google Play / Apple App Store: Payment processing. Subject to respective platform privacy policies.

Subscriptions & Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed through Google Play and Apple App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information.

Children's Privacy

My Happy Garden is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR and applicable privacy regulations, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. App data can be deleted by uninstalling the app. For waitlist or other data requests, contact hello@mygardencare.app.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website and within the App.
